Solutions Overview

The T8 systems can provide you with a wealth of information about your vehicle, its location and its performance. But why do you need this:

Modular Design

How does the system work? Each vehicle is fitted with an on-board telematics unit which transmits regular signals to a central Secure Operations Centre (SOC). The SOC provides a 24 hour a day monitoring service and is your link in case of emergency or theft.

The ‘system’ consists of several key components – a Global Positioning System (GPS), a telecommunications device (GPRS), and an Accelerometer to measure vehicle movement and performance. The GPS provides extremely accurate locational information about your vehicle so the Operations Centre will know where it is in case of trouble. All communications are via the existing GPRS networks, so we can guarantee a level of connectivity that is unrivalled in the marketplace. The on-board computer and Accelerometer will measure and store the key performance metrics of the vehicle (speed, direction, braking etc.) and will trigger an alert in case of a probable accident.

Each system has a number of driver tags which act to arm & disarm the system when it is being used properly. As you climb into your vehicle, your tag will be automatically recognised and you will be able to move away without incident. But if somebody tries to take away your vehicle without a tag, this will sound an alarm at the SOC & they will respond immediately.

These units have been designed to be amongst the smallest on the market and are capable of being deployed on a wide range of vehicles, machinery and marine craft. The unit is also very robust and is both water and dust proof so it can work in the most challenging of environments as well as in the prestige car, boat and motor-home markets.
