How it works
Core Capabilities
The heartbeat of the T8 system is a black-box unit which is professionally installed within your motor-home to avoid detection or tampering. Once installed, the unit communicates via proven telecommunications and mapping technologies to a Secure Operating Centre (SOC). If a theft is detected by the system, the SOC will coordinate an appropriate response and will talk to you and the local Police so that your valuable asset can be tracked and, hopefully, recovered.
If your motor-home were involved in an accident, the T8 system will detect this and immediately flag the problem to the SOC. The SOC will contact the local Police to ensure you receive the quickest response and most appropriate treatment from the emergency services.
Additional Security
Each registered driver will be given a unique Drivers Tag which will allow them to operate the motorhome without setting off unwanted alarms. These Tags are credit-card sized and communicate with the installed unit to create a secure environment. If the motorhome is moved without the presence of a Tag, an alarm is sent to the SOC and an appropriate response is agreed.
Each driver will also have password controlled access to their personal web-based dashboard, and an additional password for liaising with the SOC. In the case of a potential alarm situation, the SOC will call & will ask for your password to verify you are a registered user.
Proven Quality and Certification
All vehicle security and safety systems in the UK are assessed by the Thatcham organisation. Thatcham are a specialist body which is funded by the UK insurance industry to ensure the highest standards for these systems. Thatcham assign a Category level to each product with the highest one being Category 5. T8 have been granted level 5 Certification so you can be assured that you are protected by one of the very best systems on the marketplace.
Controlled Movement
After installation, you can define a maximum distance that your unit can travel before an alarm is raised. This capability is known as a geo-fence and allows you define areas to satisfy your specific needs. Thus if you park on your driveway, you can define a small geo-fence area and an alarm will be raised if the motorhome is moved unlawfully from this position.
Alternatively, if you park on a larger, remote site you may choose to define a larger geo-fenced area so your motorhome could be moved around the site without triggering an alarm. Fundamentally – the choice is yours and you can set the system to support your lifestyle.
